Something About My Praise

Something About My Praise

It matters not if you were born North of the Equator, South of the Mississippi, or East of Amazon. We were all created with an innate desire to WORSHIP! Something within us in incomplete if we do not partake in this regular, devoted  act of deification; be it in song, service, or stillness.  It matters that we WORSHIP and whom we worship!

As a Christian, I can speak from my perspective, in saying that ALL GLORIOUS GOD above is a jealous God, and He wants my attention, time and affections on a regular bases.  I better came to understand how he wants that level of commitment, love and devotion, after He blessed me with a Godly man. I spend as much time as possible with my sweetheart, in work, play, service and worship. Many times I will break out in song, and he smiles lovingly, even though I know I don't stay on key. But it's love that make us accepting and patient.  I talk about him to others, with great joy, when we are apart from one another. We aim to inspire and uplift each other and those within the circle that God has blessed up.  And when a tender act of love is performed,  through kindness and thoughtfulness, it takes me to a higher level of JOY.

God longs for each of us to be excited to get a text message from Him, in the form of His Word; Experience the lovely bouquets in nature that He surrounds us; Spend committed, meditative time with Him alone; Uplift Him in song and praise. Inspire those He places in our pathway, and not just those of our choose; Splash in the Sea of Forgetfulness;  And talk about Him incessantly!  I realize that my God is a jealous God! He doesn't want us ALL to Himself, but He wants our All. He wants our best, the first fruits and not the left over, end of the day crumbs.

When we worship Him freely, from the depth of our love and width of our hearts, His JOY is complete! It's been my personal experience to have a more complete JOY in Him, when I make Him first. But when I slip  into a state of complacency, my JOY and all that comes with the ABUNDANT BLESSINGS that He has for each of us individually, and collectively, is not realized.  Then, I go back to my first love, like Gomer, waiting for Him to take me back and love me anew. And He does!
So if you hear me singing, or spending more time in nature, or lingering more at the beach, or reading the Word (in study or solitude), it is because there's something about my praise He loves and I long to please God first and foremost. Then everything else will fall in place.

My hopes and my prayers is that my situation does not dictate my praise to the Most High God Above, who sits high and looks low and never sleeps nor slumbers. You Alone Are Worthy! Thank you JESUS!
