I Remember When...
I Remember When
Amongst our first flights, as children, on Eastern Airlines, when everyone was dressed to the nines…
I Remember When
We would place a call to a business establishment and a live person would answer the phone, in the most professional tone, giving their name and asking how they can assist…
I Remember When
Nurses would go into the profession for the love of serving mankind...
I Remember When
The young would willingly surrender their seats to an elder person or a pregnant woman…
I Remember When
Gasoline was $2.00 a gallon...
I Remember When
You could dial “0” and the Operator would help with any question, phone numbers, address and the likes…
I Remember When
We use to play outside all day, riding our bikes, playing hop scotch, jacks, spinning records (well my sister and best friends), and we didn’t come in until the street lights came on…
While taking a stroll down memory lane may brings back nostalgic memories, and hopes of what was and what could be, it is good not to linger on the treadmill of yester year for too long. Lingering too long can stifle growth for the blessings and opportunities that this moment holds. There is much to do, enjoy and contribute to in this present moment, that holds thousands of seconds, and millions of nanoseconds. So look back if you must, remember if you can, and reflect for the lessons learned. Rather than linger on that treadmill of yesteryear, Choose to take the best of those memories, and create moments in this present that you are in that will contribute to a brighter today, and a better tomorrow for all. Now that’s DA Art of Living!
