A Month of Sundays

A Month of Sundays

It's on days like these I wish to collect a bunch of Sundays, and knit them closely together to have a month of Sundays in which to bask and frolic. Sundays are best for coming into day on my own terms and and at my own time. It's sacred in a way that differs from my Sabbaths (Saturday). Sunday's are best summed up in a song sung by the Commodores, "Easy Like Sunday Morning." It's an easier day and I guard my Sundays carefully.

It my time of cleaning, and just being. I can clean up my e-mails and return phone calls. I can be without an itineary, on most Sundays. I can be outdoors basking in the rays of the glorious sunlight that bounces off the lake or hiking Amicalola Falls. I can be at a brunch, which is still a decent hour for a Sunday gathering. I can be at a family gathering. I can be enjoying an outing with my sweetheart. I can be content of a friends front porch, sipping sun ripened tea. I can be present to the discoveries of Spring blooms. I can be still in the moments that allow me to reflect, create and write. I can plan for my work week. Or I can simply just be. Oh to have a month of Sundays to just be! How glorious that would be. I love Sundays!

Now that's DA Art of Living!
