Front of The Line!
Front of The Line!
We are tested daily, if not frequently throughout the day, on how, when and where we will stand amidst life challenges, which also serve as opportunities and test in what and whom we believe. "Try Me!" can also be seen as a daring prompt, where debate and altercation can ensue. But I serve a God who begs us to "Try Him", and "Prove Him", and it is an in your face dare. He dares us to test Him and see that He is victor in ALL THINGS. God only wants the best for each of His children, and often times we settle for the crumbs.
Every day, I experience a Holy Ghost Hook Up! Some days they appear to be larger than life, while other days, an as expected norm in this desensitize world of abundant blessings. But we all know that whatever God does is not the norm; it's Super Duper Natural!
On a recent holiday, where we went to celebrate my Father's Birthday in Miami. Plans had been made to celebrate his 69th/70th Birthday in style: dinner and then a cruise on the bay. Upon arriving at the restaurant, the host indicated they hadn't received our reservation that was phoned in, as they only accept them online, and not by voice mail. I know my face had a look of an attempt to remain calm, while brewing underneath, was an "I can't believe this is happening". After a few deep breaths, I calmly asked when would the next group seating become available? As we were the first guests of the evening, they worked and successfully accommodated our group on time and successfully, unbeknown to the guest, but more importantly the guest of honour. I know that this was a test, and was also a Holy Ghost Hook Up! Then there were too many to count, all sorts of unsolicited upgrades that became a regular part of that weekend!
The cherry on top, was the return trip to the airport. Returning the rental car, took up more time than we had allotted. Upon arrival at the airport, a skycap gentleman opened my door to assist me , and offered to take the luggage. I expressed that we had not planned to check luggage. He offered to check us in, and we accepted it, as now we were too close to our departure time. He told us that we were going to be late for our flight, as he walked up to the FRONT OF THE LINE to the next agent, to gain our boarding passes. Then on to TSA Security, we were told that we had one bag too many. Condensing, and tossing, we were finally ready. Of course, we had to maintain a calm and not react to some of the abrasive tones and looks that were given by the TSA agents. She opened the flex barrier and then escorted us to the FRONT OF THE LINE, where the pilots, flight attendants board! While I had to give up my pure essences that a friend had just brought back from the Carnival in Trinidad, We were happy to have made the flight.
God wants us to TRY HIM! Just as Gideon in Judges 6, asked God to prove Himself with the fleece, God is waiting us to TRY HIM! He dares us! And when you do, He will make more readily visible, the many Front of the Line blessings He's Already Provided!
Now that's DA Art of Living!
