Stop, Pray, Reboot and find your center of peace...

Stop, Pray, Reboot and find your center of peace...

A deadline that had passed, which was now stirring an anxious spirit within me, of which I longed to place upon  a shelf. However, the sense of urgency continued to press. As fate would have it, my computer would not cooperate in sending necessary. e-mails, with attachments. What was I to do?  My multiple attempts were futile, and the thought to hit the ESC (Escape) key crossed my mind. But would it take me to the escape destination I desired to be; on a sunny beach in Hawaii? My reality told me otherwise.

In a disposable society, such as ours here in the U.S., it may occur to dispose of the equipment and find a replacement, such as is often done with people. But I don't possess the mindset of throwing things nor people away. It's best when we can find a workable solution and maintain on the foundation that has already been established.

So with wisdom of one near and dear to me, I stopped what I was doing, prayed a silent prayer (actually I'm certain he did too) and rebooted the computer.  Within minutes, all systems were a go! Logging in was easy; signing on was a cinch; and sending the required e-mails with the attachments worked like a Swiss time-piece. I was at peace again, a place more familiar and where I like to linger.

Sometimes it takes the voice of another, who is objective and not as close to the situation, to offer us insight and help us to get on the right course and remember to hold close the things that serve us and those whom we value.  That's the beauty of community.  In doing so, it is then we shine with the light from within us: the light of God!

Now that's DA Art of Living!

  1. Sometimes when our technology on which we depend does too much/has too much to process it locks up and shutting it down is the only thing that works. Maybe we should take a cue from out tech.
