Things in the mirror...
The mirror has made its way into many fairy tales, title of movies (The mirror has two faces) and songs (Man in the mirror), and they are found in various rooms in our homes, and strategically placed in our vehichles. One thing for certain, the mirror does not always reveal the whole truth.; but rather portions of it. If you notice, often times it amplifies that which is in front of it; enlarging the pores, doubling the size of a small space, adding on pounds that we'd rather not see in the mirror, let alone on ourselves; distoring images and making vehicles appear closer than they truly are.
Just today I heard a message about the mind as a mirror to the soul. It was said that we reflect that in which we think. So it begs the question, just what are you thinking? What are you thinking about yourself, your abilities, your purpose and your plan? Just as important, what are we thinking about others? We can only ask ourselves, what influences our thoughts and are we selectively, intentional in our choices? "As a man thinkeths in his heart, so is he." (Proverb 23:7). We have absolute power over what we think and how we perceive matters. The choice and power is ours alone. Let this mine be in you that was also in Christ Jesus...We can purposely treat others better than they treat us; speak kinder and speak more gentler words to them than they do to us; give a gift from a heart of love and richness, and not meagerness or equal to or lesser than that in which they gave us; and listen with the intent of understanding and empathizing. While this is easier to type or pen on paper, it is possible. Now taking the high roade, does not mean we must forego the needs that each of us have, but in His strength, clearly reflect the mirroring love of Christ Jesus. HE IS the best mirror of them all. He is THE ONE who supplies all of our needs anyway!
One thing for sure, my niece was true reflection of love and strength on her wedding at sea! Congratulations Al-TaJuan & Rochelle! Much love to you guys!
A reflection of Christ is the best mirror of them all.
Now that's DA ART of LIVING!
