A Few Of My Favorite Things! What better way to begin Sunday, the first day of this new week, than to take it slow, with a cup of tea in tow, and a blank slate in which to write down some of your favorite things. You'll find, as I did, that you have quite a few more favorite things than you may have imagined. It all begins to flow when you're intentional about the process. Here are a few of mine, but I'm sure you could have guessed some of them: • The smell of Summer after a heavy rain • The soft scents of Pineapple Crush candles wafting in the air • Old cigar boxes to store childhood treasures • Anything from the Bvlgaria fragrance line • The breeze you catch when riding down a country road with the windows down • The smell of wood burning in the Fall • The rays of the sun that bounce off of the lake at Summer • Slow Sundays • The texture and colour of fine stationery • The weight of a beautiful writing tool • Receiving handwritten letters or cards in the mail • The cadence of performers during a Broadway play • The Sound of Music • The skill of the Master Chefs at Houstons • Australian Strawberry Licorice from my friend Julia • Basking in the company of great people, both young and old • The perfect cup of tea served in the perfect tea cup and saucer • Time at the beach, and a book that pulls it all together • Butterflies breeze\ing by promises of hope and new life • Serving others (especially at my Tea House) Ending on the note of "Serving Others", Now that's DA Art of Living!"
