For most of my life, or at least from as far back as I can remember, which is about age five, I have been told that I was a “Social Butterfly”. If that means that I want to share and experience joy where ever I am, then that’s me; If that means that I flit well, from one social event to another,
as described in dictionary.com, then that’s me; If that means that I enjoy planning and experiencing simple or lavish events, then that’s me; and if that means that “likened to a butterfly, flitting between flowers”, then that is definitely me!

Perhaps the tag that was given to and accepted by me helped to shape my destiny. For even now I find that I thrive best in environments, in which there is a sharing of information, concerns, joys, sorrows, resources and networks, leaving it better than when discovered. Whatever tag that may have been given to you earlier on in life, it’s your chose to accept and run with it, if it edifies or toss it to the wind if it does not. I’ve chosen to hang on to this one that uplifts and gives life to others as well. My MaD Miracles Coach, reminded me to BE:
Be INTENTIONAL: Live on and in purpose
Be ATTENTIONAL: Give time and attention to your purpose and gifts
Be my AUTHENTIC SELF! Love and be kind to myself
In doing so, I embrace the fact that people are in our lives for a season, and a reason. Once that time has completed its course, the person exits stage left, sometimes creating a situation in order to exit. Accept the exit with grace, and know that space has been created for other greats (flowers) to fill that space. EMBRACE IT!
Now that's DA Art of Living!
We are all social butterflies to a greater or lesser degree. Some draw energy from visiting the flowers and others from what they take away from the visit. Perhaps then some of us are introverted social butterflies and others are extroverted social butterflies. Whichever one you are embrace it and enjoy the flowers.
ReplyDeleteIndeed we are all social butterflies, comfortably at different ends of the butterfly social spectrum
