The Heartland of America

The Heartland of America

O Beautiful for Spacious Sky, for Amber Waves of Grain...

As we made our way North from Atlanta, up over the winding Appalachians mountains of Tennessee, through the Derby state of Kentucky and alongside the Hoover Dam of Ohio, I can only say "I'll have another".  The white silohs towering over the farm houses and as far as the eye can see, flieds of corn, reminds me that our America still has much beauty left in her.

She is a country with a spirit of giving. She extends her arms to foreign lands, embracing the isolated , oppressed and desolated; offering a place of refuge and new beginnings. She is a land of plenty, flowing with opportunity, creativty and ingenuity. She is a people that gives of themselves in the spirit of volunteerism for causes greater than ourselves individually, and powerfully making changes collectively.

Oh this land thats your land and mine,m links the interstates, back roads and state routes that connects this heartland, has  also allowed us to connect with family, friends and well wishers this past weekend; be it apps swaps; recounting childhood stories; fellowship at church;  and journeying through the Messiah's Mansion, which was a life size  model of the heavenly sanctuary. There was time for games and much laughter. But more importantly, there was time to bask in and appreciate the goodness of great fellowship and heartfelt hospitality. Thank you Charmaine!

As we travel the roads of this America, the beautiful, a billboard sums up the essence of this heartland "Passion Loves Company". Be passionate about the liberties granted to us to do the greater good and take the  higher road. This is the spirit of America! Now that's DA Art of Living!

As Ray Charles reminds us how beautiful America is, remember to get out and live it! Click on or copy and post link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yaetvTj5DE
